G-B govt to boost NATCO’s development, Chief Secretary
Following a detailed review, the business plan for NATCO was discussed
Gilgit — The recent performance of NATCO, Northern Areas Transport Corporation, is reassuring. In the coming days, this institution will be strengthened further, as stated by Chairman NATCO Board/Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, addressing the 129th Board of Directors meeting held in Chief Secretary office Gilgit.
In the meeting, it was decided to adjust the excess employees with professional skills to other government departments.
Following a detailed review, the business plan for NATCO was discussed, emphasizing the improvement of passenger services.
The decision was made to enhance NATCO’s travel services, extending its scope to other major cities through wet lease arrangements.
Rigorous and professional practices will be implemented in the maintenance, decoration and renovation of passenger vehicles.
Evaluating the performance of NATCO’s fueling stations, the Board decided to add four more oil tankers to increase fuel delivery.
By improving the weight-bearing capacity of NATCO Cargo trucks, the revenue will be increased. The meeting granted approval to immediately auction 26 vehicles that have been standing for auction for several years.
A report on the future activities and potential expansion of NATCO’s workshop will be presented in the next meeting.
The Board of Directors commended the current management team’s performance and expressed hope for further progress on the journey of development.
